Ian Tompsett is a self-taught woodcarver living with his partner and young son in the Bohemian region of the Czech Republic, where his day job is teaching English both privately and at the local business academy.

His pastimes include walking in the glorious Czech countryside, cycling in the hills and searching for interesting pieces of wood to carve with.
